Call to mobilise on the 7th and 8th of May

To all organizations, groups and individuals of the Other Campaign in Mexico City, Mexico State, Puebla and Tlaxcala.
To all men and women of good heart

Following the cowardly murders of Juan Francisco Ortega Sicilia, Luis Antonio Romero Jaime, Julio César Romero Jaime and Gabriel Alejandro Escalera, a wave of anger and indignation is rising against those who are supposed to provide security for the population: the Mexican State.
Four years after Felipe Calderon declared war against organized crime, the picture that is emerging in our country is one of desolation, death and fear. His war, waged to try to gain a legitimacy that he never had, has led to the death of 40 thousand Mexicans, many of them baptized with the infamous name of “collateral damage”
Not only have they failed to achieve the objectives of this war, but the landscape that is drawn is that of a country under scorched earth.
We will not allow our young people to remain driven to their death.
We will not allow a State of Emergency to be the norm in Mexico.
We will not allow Felipe Calderón to continue to bring mourning to the homes of thousands of Mexicans, when for many of the dead we do not even know their names.
We will not allow them to continue destroy the social fabric of peoples, communities, neighbourhoods, schools and families, all key objectives of this war.
We will not allow the nation to be destroyed.
For all this and more, the undersigned call on all members of the Other Campaign to mobilize with us on Saturday 7th May at 12 noon for a rally at the Hemiciclo de Benito Juarez under the following banners:

(Where everyone complete the sentence with their own particular demands)

later to form a number of brigades to go out distributing fliers of invitation for the 8th May.
On the 8th we invite you to join us to march in silence from the Monument to the Revolution to join the main march which will come from the University City. The time will be 12 noon.
